The annual Garden and House Tour, "Hidden Treasures of the Berkshires," continues to be a highly successful fundraiser. Proceeds from the tour have enabled us to give away monies in support of local horticultural, educational and civic beautification projects. We have given generously to the restoration of the ChineseGarden at Naumkeag. We have funded the BerkshireBotanical Garden's Horticultural Interns Program and Winter Lecture Series. Financial support has also been given to the following organizations: Great Barrington River Walk, Elm Watch, Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation, Hebert Arboretum at SpringsidePark, Ventfort Hall, Project Native, Habitat for Humanity, BidwellHouseMuseum, Lenox Library Association, Southern Berkshire Youth Association, Berkshire County Historical Society, and many others.

Come to historic towns of Sheffield and Ashley Falls to visit a sculptor’s studio set in the pastures of an old dairy farm; a former marble quarry; where apine lined approach populated by stone deer leads to a lake; a site where romance reigns over logic for a transplanted Californian who has created lush, foliage rich gardens where she spends every waking hour of the Berkshire summer; and a property edged by a long ,sophisticated perennial border where the brick federal house is sheltered by significant old trees. At the end of a quiet country road, borders of unusual plant material line tranquil pathways leading to a dramatic waterfall and fish pond.At their scheduled property, two architects have used natural changes in elevation to create gardens that echo the architecture of their house, while another owner has created a fantasy property from remains of a 1737 grist mill.
